Francis is a songwriter-singer based in Guildford who is equally at home on acoustic guitar or keyboard. His primary songwriting influences include (amongst many others) Brian Wilson, Lennon-McCartney and Carole King, and his songs strongly reflect his deep love of and familiarity with the Southern Californian soft pop-rock scene that emerged in the late 1960s, flowered during the 1970s and still resonates in the present day.  Not surprisingly, therefore, Francis’s songs are characterised by strong melodies and interesting harmonic structures.

As well as performing his songs live, Francis has always enjoyed working in his home recording studio and his most recent solo collections of recorded songs include String Theory (2012), Lagom (2013) and Imaginary Friends (2014). New recording projects are already in progress and further CD releases of his songs are sure to follow on a regular basis. Francis has also had success recording jingles for local radio stations.

When not composing, recording or performing his own songs, Francis can be found either playing keyboards in a successful Surrey-based party/function covers band or in a Beach Boys tribute band at national fan conventions etc.
